Friday Night on White
Friday, April 14th to Friday, September 8th, 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Downtown Wake Forest White Street
 
Friday Night on White (FNOW) returns to historic downtown Wake Forest on April 14 and continues the second Friday night of each month through September. This year’s FNOW promises to be bigger and better than ever thanks to a power-packed lineup featuring several of our area’s most popular bands. Each concert is scheduled from 6-9 p.m, subject to weather issues
 
Our 2023 concert series will include:
  • Aril 14th: The Magic Pipers
  • May 12th: Sleeping Booty
  • June. 9th: Love Tribe
  • July 14th: The Brickhouse Band
  • August 11th: Stone Age Romeos
  • September 8th: Crush 
 
The following food and dessert trucks will be onsite for the April 14 concert:
  • Fishin' Shrimp,
  • The Flat Drum,
  • Chirba Chirba Dumpling,
  • Tacas Las Gringas,
  • Lawrence & Perry BBQ,
  • The Naked Empanada,
  • VFW Chuck Wagon,
  • Cousins Maine Lobster,
  • Virgil's Jamaica,
  • Lumpy's Ice Cream,
  • Waves Shave Ice, and
  • Cocoa Forte Cheesecakes. 

For all concerts, multiple food trucks and beverage sales will be available as street sales.

 
W.F. Fish Fry
Friday, April 28th, 11 am - 7 pm at 420 Elm Avenue
The 2023 Wake Forest Fire Department Fish Fry is scheduled for Friday, April 28, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. – or until all the fish plates are sold - at Fire Station #1, 420 Elm Ave.

Plates are $10 each and will include generous portions of fried flounder, boiled potatoes, coleslaw, and hush puppies. No preorders will be accepted this year, but both eat in and drive thru take-out options will be available. 

A special part of this year's Fish Fry will be a food drive to benefit the Tri-Area Ministry Food Pantry. Throughout the day, the WFFD will collect non-perishable food items to help feed hungry people in our community.

Saturday, April 29th, 5:00 pm at Villas Clubhouse - outdoors
Music entertainment: A little bit Country and a little bit Rock n Roll by Glen Jones
Foodtruck: Red Neck BBQ Lab
 
NOTE: There is already a clubhouse reservation for the same day until 5:00 pm. Please be mindful of that with regards to using the facilities and the parking lot.

Concerts - Six Sundays In Spring
Sunday, April 30th to Sunday, June 4th, 5:30 - 7:30pm at Joyner Park Amphitheater, 701 Harris Road
THe Beatles Tribute Band “Revolution” to kick off Six Sundays in Spring April 30

Wake Forest’s popular Six Sundays in Springconcert series returns to E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road, on consecutive Sundays from April 30 through June 4. Sponsored by the Town of Wake Forest and ARTS Wake Forest, the performances get underway Sunday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. with local Beatles tribute band, “Revolution.”

Featuring free, live, outdoor entertainment, Six Sundays in Spring offers residents an opportunity to enjoy a variety of local and regional performers and an enriching cultural experience. The concerts will be offered rain or shine from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Joyner Park Amphitheater. 

Scheduled to perform this year include:
  • April 30: Revolutions - The Beatles Tribute Band
  • May 7: Big Bang Boom
  • May 14: Miss Mini and the Sandman Band
  • May 21: Conjunto Breve
  • May 28: The Magnificents
  • June 4: Sensory Expressions

Saturday, May 13th at DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center

DPAC Moulin Rouge tickets for Saturday May 13th at 2:00 p.m. (Mother’s Day Treat).
 
Total price $131 per ticket, $35.00 deposit due by the 10th  with remainder due in March.  Payment in full also available if you wish.
