We are not looking forward to the Arctic blast that is supposedly coming next week, so enjoy this great weather while you can.
The Luminary lighting will be Friday at 5:30…bundle up and enjoy the remembrances and the music provided. The youth of WFUMC will be here around 6:00 to sing carols at the Clubhouse and in the neighborhood following the Luminary Ceremony.
There are still tickets available for the Christmas Party on December 17th. It starts at 1:00 p.m. so no night time driving. Please reserve your seat by getting your check, made out to the Villas Dinner Club, to Donna Turnage as soon as possible.
All minutes from Board meetings, committees and the monthly financial reports can be found on the York website, which can be accessed from the Villas web page. Please refer to these documents for information.
Our annual meeting is next week, December 7 at 11:00 AM. Instructions to gain access to the meeting via phone or computer have been sent, but if you misplaced yours, please contact a neighbor or any Board member. (Bob Turnage - they are also posted on the social website
.) Also, please remember to submit your vote and resident verification letter to the Ballot box.
While we are excited to soon have new Board members, it is with great sadness we say goodby to our current President, Rich Pike. Both Rich and Terry have been gracious volunteers for the Villas since they arrived, and Rich has done an outstanding job as a Board member in earlier days and later as our President for 3 years. He was able to encourage Board members to think “outside of the Box,” have open and respectful discussions, and always had time for questions from residents. Sometimes the answers given were not what was hoped for, but they were always done in a kind, professional, and caring manner. His presence will be greatly missed, but it is time for he and Terry to enjoy a simpler time with no emails or phone calls, spend more time with friends and family, and enjoy the Villas atmosphere they helped create. Thanks Rich…it has been our pleasure to have you always thinking of, and working for the Villas.
